Cool Way to Tie a Scarf: Summer Style

I often address this on the blog…..as a stay at home mom MOST days, I don’t really have a need to “dress up” on the regular. I refuse to let that mean yoga pants and workout tanks. Today I have a ton of errands to run…grocery store, dry cleaners, the dreaded dental appointment….BUT I still wanted to look chic running around town. I find scarves and jewelry to be the easiest way to dress up the simplest of outfits- Ivory shirt and jeans…boring…add in colorful headscarf and statement necklace..and suddenly you feel great in what you are wearing. Let’s face it…that is what it is all about- Feeling great- no matter what the day has in store!

Shirt Nicole Miller, Headscarf Pucci, Necklace Marilyn Schiff, Earrings Stella and Dot, Jeans Riley (repurposed Levi’s) Wedges Toms

I have a pair of TOMS flats and love them so much, I recently purchased these wedges. They go with everything, are very comfortable and  it makes me feel good knowing every time I buy a pair, a child in need
gets a pair too!

If you follow along with the blog, you know I love vintage and vintage inspired jewelry- Worship this necklace that I just purchased at J Karma Boutique when I visited Philly last week.  Very reasonably priced at $48.00

Happy Shopping!

That’s right! Feeling great no matter what the day has in store. And you look so casual chic! I’m dying for a pair of Toms wedges. They’re a little more expensive than my normal price range but knowing that they donate another pair makes it a worthy investment!

I totally agree. I always use scarves and jewelry to dress up a casual outfit — jeans, T-shirts, etc. Scarves and accessories can add a whole different dimension to an outfit.

    Have a great weekend!!!

  12. Totally get your point. But I do the same thing, if people are going to see me whether strangers or fellow mommies/friends that is good enough reason to wear a blog worthy outfit!

I love that scarf and necklace. Totally dresses up and makes the whole look very chic and trendy.

As always a fantastic outfit. I refuse to leave the house in yoga pants unless Im going to yoga, or its a Sunday – a rule I made for myself when Ollie came along. I think you feel so much better when you put in just a teensy bit of effort right? Even when you really don’t want to.

  21. Every inch the Pucci girl! Such a great look – I need to experiment with head scarves, especially for the summer as my hair is both super dry and frizzy… very chic and I love that on your off days you don’t go for the Juicy Couture look 🙂
